Map'arahu (Quechua map'a dirty, stained, rahu mountain with snow,[2][3] "dirty (or stained) snow mountain", also spelled Maparaju) is a 5,326 m (17,474 ft) high mountain in the Cordillera Blanca in the Andes of Peru. It is situated in the Ancash Region, Huaraz Province, Huaraz District, and in the Huari Province, Huantar District. Map'arahu lies at the head of the Kallash (Callash) or Kayish valley, southwest of Kayish and Artisa and northeast of Qarwakancha.[1][4][5]

Map'arahu or rather Map'arahuqucha (qucha means lake, hispanicized spelling Maparajucocha)[2][6] is the name of the little lake south of the mountain at 9°28′15″S 77°18′09″W / 9.47083°S 77.30250°W / -9.47083; -77.30250.
