Maria Timmer (née Molina) (born April 7, 1987) is an on-air meteorologist for Fox News Channel, a U.S. television network.[1]

Early life

Timmer graduated cum laude from Florida State University in 2008, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in meteorology.[1][4] Timmer has also earned the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) designation from the American Meteorological Society (AMS).[1]

Career

Timmer joined Fox News Channel in October 2010.[1] She provides weather updates on many Fox shows and appears regularly on the FOX & Friends morning show.[1] She was credited as being the youngest meteorologist on cable in 2012.[4]

Prior to Fox News Channel, Timmer was a bilingual TV meteorologist for AccuWeather in State College, Pennsylvania, for which she provided weather forecasts in both English and Spanish.[1]

Personal life

Timmer lives in New York City.[2]

In addition to working at Fox News Channel, she attended graduate school at Columbia University from the Fall semester of 2012 until the Summer semester of 2015.[4] She graduated from the Master of Arts program in Climate and Society. She announced her engagement on October 6, 2014 to meteorologist and storm chaser Reed Timmer. They were married December 28, 2015 at Masaya Volcano National Park in Nicaragua.[5]
