Martin West (actor)
Martin West (born Martin Weixelbaum, August 28, 1937 in Southampton, New York, USA) is an American actor of film and television best known for playing the grieving father Lawson in John Carpenter's Assault on Precinct 13 as well as the lead role in Freckles. He is also known for playing roles in the soap opera's General Hospital as Dr Phil Brewer and As the World Turns as Donald "Don" Hughes (he was the fifth actor to play both of these roles). His work also includes appearances in films such as Soldier Blue and Mac and Me and guest appearances in television programs such as The Invaders and Matlock. West has not appeared on screen since he appeared in an episode of The New Adam-12 in 1990.
