Matt Gunn

Matthew "Matt" Gunn is an American writer and actor from St. Louis, Missouri. He has one sister and four brothers, including James (writer-director), Sean (actor), and Patrick (an executive).

Writing

In 1997, he wrote, produced, and starred in Man About Town, a twenty-minute film that won the Sundance Film Festival's Short Filmmaking Award. The film later sold for a record-breaking amount to Cinemax. Gunn was a political and humor writer on HBO's Real Time with Bill Maher.[1] Matt Gunn played "Dan McMahon" in the 2003 film, The Man Who Invented the Moon.[2]

Gunn's surname is from the Irish name MacGilGunn meaning "Sons to the Servants of the God of the Dead, therefore Gunn means "God of the Dead" [3]
