Mełgiew [ˈmɛu̯ɡʲɛf] is a village in Świdnik County, Lublin Voivodeship, in eastern Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Mełgiew.[1] It lies approximately 6 kilometres (4 mi) east of Świdnik and 16 km (10 mi) east of the regional capital Lublin.
The village has a population of 990.
