Meisam Tabatabaei

Meisam Tabatabaei (Persian: میثم طباطبائی) (born 10 September 1979 in Isfahan) is an Iranian environmental biotechnology expert and assistant professor at Agricultural Biotechnology Research Institute of Iran.

Life and research activity

Tabatabaei studied environmental biotechnology at Universiti Putra Malaysia and obtained his PhD in 2009.

He is editor-in-chief of scientific journal Biofuel Research Journal. According to the Web of Science (previously known as (ISI) Web of Knowledge), the journal has been indexed in Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) since 2015.

He is currently the founding president of the Iranian Biofuel Society (IBS). IBS was founded in 2015 by an act of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (Iran).[1]

Tabatabaei was awarded the National Medals of Appreciation and Memorial by the President of Iran for his contributions to the advancement of knowledge in the field of biofuel in the country.[2][3]
