Mikołajki Pomorskie [mikɔˈwai̯ki pɔˈmɔrskʲɛ] (German: Nikolaiken; 1938-1945: Niklaskirchen) is a village in Sztum County, Pomeranian Voivodeship, in northern Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Mikołajki Pomorskie.[1] It lies approximately 12 kilometres (7 mi) south-east of Sztum and 67 km (42 mi) south-east of the regional capital Gdańsk.
Before 1772 the area was part of Kingdom of Poland, 1772-1945 Prussia and Germany. For the history of the region, see History of Pomerania.
