Emergency is the sixteenth studio album by the American funk band Kool & the Gang, released in November 1984. The album became the band's biggest selling album, going double platinum in America, platinum in Canada, and silver in the UK. The album garnered several hit singles such as "Fresh" (US #9, UK# 11); "Misled" (US #10, UK #28); "Cherish" (US #2, UK #4), and "Emergency" (US #18).[2]
