Mr India World is a national beauty pageant that selects its winner to compete in Mister World pageant. The pageant is biennial started in 2014. Earlier Grasim Industries held the franchise for Mister World in India. In 2007, Haywards 5000 took the franchise for Mister World and organised Haywards 5000 Mr India World 2007 Pageant to select India's representative at Mister World 2007. Since 2014 The Times Group[1] owns this franchise. It also holds the franchise for Miss World India and Miss Universe India Miss Diva in India.

The current Mister World India is Rohit Khandelwal of Hyderabad. He was declared the winner of PROVOGUE Personal Care Mr. India 2015 on 23 July 2015 at Club Royalty, Mumbai. Rahul Rajshekharan Nair of Karnataka was declared the 1st Runner up and Prateek Gujral of Maharashtra was declared the 2nd Runner up at the conclusion of the event.

History

Adonis-Graviera Contest was held in 1996 to select India' representative at the very first edition of Mister World in 1996.[2] The first ever Mister India was Bikram Saluja,[3] from Punjab. He won the Adonis-Graviera Contest 1996 and represented India at the very first edition of Mister World held in Istanbul, Turkey. Tom Nuyens won the contest and Bikram finished in top 10.

The Pageant

The second edition of Mister India World was also organised by Graviera. Sachin Khurana from New Delhi won the contest and represented India at Mister World 1998.
No pageant was held in 2000 and 2003.
In 2007, Haywards 50000 took the franchise of Mister World and Haywards 5000 Mr India World 2007 pageant was organised. Kawaljit Anand Singh was named Haywards 5000 Mr India World.[4]

In 2014, The Times Group (also known as The Times Group) acquired the rights to send India's representatives to the Mister World pageant.
