Murak (Arabic: مورك, also spelled Murik, Mork, or Morek) is a Syrian town located in the Suran Subdistrict in Hama District. According to the Syria Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Murak had a population of 14,307 in the 2004 census.[1] Its the most famous town in Syria which produces Pistachios nuts (production of 2010 was about 62k ton of pistachios nuts).
