Mountain View High School is a public high school in Stafford, Virginia, United States, for students in grades nine through twelve in the western area of Stafford County.

Location and demographics

Mountain View is located on Mountain View Road, several miles from I-95 and U.S. 1. Any demographic information pertaining to Mountain Views' student population has yet to be formally documented or released by the Stafford County Public School System or any other reputable agency. However, according to Standard & Poor's SchoolMatters.com, the ethnicity breakdown is as follows: 73.4% White, 15% Black, 7% Hispanic, 2.6% Asian/Pacific Islander.

International Baccalaureate Program

In 2006, MVHS became the first IB school in Stafford County's school district. High-achieving, motivated students at MVHS may enroll in either single IB subject courses or the full IB Diploma Programme. Students in the IB Diploma Programme take IB courses in six core areas (language & literature, language acquisition, individuals & societies, experimental sciences, mathematics, and an elective or art).
