Mukundpur
Mukundpur is a village in Amarpatan tehsil, Satna District, Madhya Pradesh State, India. It is the birthplace of Mughal King Akbar II[1], 16th Mughal King.
Its in Rewa Division, located 14 km south of the Rewa city by Nipaniya - Tamara road, 51 km to the east of the district capital, Satna, 32 km from Amarpatan. and 478 km from the state capital, Bhopal.
The Mukundpur Pin Code is 486550. The Head Post Office is at Govindgarh (Rewa)
The nearest villages are Amiriti (3 km) Lalitpur (5 km), Govindgarh (6 km), Tala (7 km), Katalpur (7 km), Kemara (10 km). The surrounding tehsils are Rampur Baghelan tehsil to the west, Rampur Naikin tehsil to the east, Ramnagar tehsil to the south, and Raipur Karchuliyan tehsil to the east. The nearest cities are Rewa, Satna, Maihar, Sidhi, Shahdol, Anuppur and Singrauli.
The local languages are Hindi and Bagheli.
Railway station for Mukundpur was planned for construction in 2013. As of now the nearest major station is Rewa which is 16 km.

In the south of village, Mazar of Hazrat Sufi Muheeb Shah known as Shahtaj Shah Baba is located, wherein annual "Urs" is organized, with vast gathering of people belonging to different states and of all religions. Every year, it starts on the panchmi of Chaitra (Hindi month) and lasts for 3 days.
In the east of village Roopsagar Talab is located. In west, a beautiful forest (Mand) is located. In south, rivers Murjua and Beehad are flowing. By side of these rivers is famous White Tiger Safari.
One of the major attractions of the village is [2]White Tiger Safari and Zoo, Mukundpur . It's inaugurated by Hon'ble Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chauhan ji. It's an international level safari for White Tigers. It's interesting to know that it's the first and only one WHITE TIGER safari in the world.
The important fact to be mentioned is that the first white tiger of the world was spotted by Rewa Maharaja (King) Martand Singh in 1951, in this region only i.e. forest of Sidhi.[3]
