Saraswati Nagar is a census town in Yamuna Nagar District in the Indian state of Haryana.
Geography
Sarsawati nagar (officially from 02/02/2016) old name Mustafabad 18 km from Jagadhri and 23 km from Yamunanagar. This name arises from the presence of river saraswati. There is also an old Shiv temple situated near this river.
Demographics
As of 2001 India census,[1] Mustafabad had a population of 8513. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Mustafabad has an average literacy rate of 72%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 77%, and female literacy is 68%. In Mustafabad, 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.
