My Love Story!! (俺物語!! Ore Monogatari!!) is a 2015 Japanese high school romantic comedy film directed by Hayato Kawai and based on the manga series of the same name written by Kazune Kawahara and illustrated by Aruko. It was released on October 31, 2015.[2][3]

Plot

Gouda Takeo is a giant guy with a giant heart. Too bad the girls don't want him! (They want his good-looking best friend, Sunakawa.) Used to being on the sidelines, Takeo simply stands tall and accepts his fate. But one day when he saves a girl named Yamato from a harasser on the train, his (love!) life suddenly takes an incredible turn!

The film was announced in May 2015 on Bessatsu Margaret.[5] The staff, cast and release date were announced later in the month.[6] More of the cast was announced in June.[7] The trailer was released in August.[4]

Reception

The film was third place on its opening weekend in Japan, earning US$1.1 million.[2]
