Myxus is a genus of mugilid mullets found in coastal marine waters, estuaries and rivers in South Africa and Australia.
Species
There are currently two recognized species in this genus (another has been moved to Trachystoma):[1]
- Myxus capensis (Valenciennes, 1836) (Freshwater mullet)
- Myxus elongatus Günther, 1861 (Sand grey mullet)
