Valamugil is a genus of mugilid mullets from coastal waters in the Indo-Pacific, including estuaries and rivers.
Species
There are currently four recognized species in this genus (others have been moved to Moolgarda):[1]
- Valamugil buchanani (Bleeker, 1853) (Bluetail mullet)
- Valamugil formosae (Ōshima, 1922)
- Valamugil robustus (Günther, 1861) (Robust mullet)
- Valamugil speigleri (Bleeker, 1858) (Speigler's mullet)
