The fourth season of NCIS: Los Angeles premiered on September 25, 2012 on CBS.[1] The episodes, "Red Part One" and "Red Part Two" were intended to be a backdoor pilot for an upcoming series associated with the NCIS franchise titled NCIS: Red. However, CBS later announced that they had passed on the project, making NCIS: Red the only backdoor episodes not to have been given a full series.
Cast
All seven members of the season two cast returned for the third season. Peter Cambor returns in one episode, whilst Miguel Ferrer recurs throughout the season. This is the first season of the series not to feature an NCIS crossover character.

In the resulting case, Deeks and Kensi share a romantic kiss, leaving both of them while an old enemy returns with a vengeance. The episode ends with Deeks being tortured by Issak Sidorov and his men as a helpless Sam looks on. |
