NRG eSports is an eSports organization based in California. It has a League of Legends team that will begin competing in the North American League of Legends Championship Series starting with the Spring 2016 Split. NRG entered the NA LCS after buying a spot from Team Coast.

History

The team is owned and founded by Gerard Kelly and Sacramento Kings co-owners Andy Miller and Mark Mastrov.[1] In January 4, 2016 coach Charlie Lispie announced that he had left the organization.[2] The organization branched into Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on January 22, 2016.[3] In April of 2015, NRG apointed Andrew Pruett as Chief Executive Officer. Gerard Kelly, former CEO, moved into a general management role within the organization.[4]
