Payne plays forward.^[1] She played for the Australian Institute of Sport in the Women's National Basketball League during the 2010/2011 season.^[1] Her last game for the team was on 24 November 2010 when the team lost to the Canberra Capitals.^[1] In that game, she scored ten points and had seven rebounds.^[1] In November 2010, she signed a contract with and started to play for the Townsville Fire.^[1]
