Synopsis

In the town of Itogon, Benguet lived a happy family with Dolores Buya-ao (Ina Raymundo), Paciano Macaraeg (Dominic Ochoa), and their daughter Cecilia (Dexie Daulat). One day, Paciano decides to work at Manila. He goes back and forth every day to his job, which complicated Dolores and Cecilia. One day, Cecilia wakes up and Paciano isn't there. She waits for Paciano but he never returned.

Cecilia's (Sue Ramirez) dream of going to Manila will come true. Cecilia and Dolores move to Manila so Cecilia can go to college, and mainly to find Paciano. Cecilia's hopes and dreams shatter as she finds out that her father has another family, and that she doesn't have enough money for college. Cecilia and Dolores survived in Manila by selling food in front of a university. And that's when Cecilia meets Leandro Natividad (Arron Villaflor), whom starts off as her tutor but they eventually fall in love with each other. At their school dance, Cecilia and Leandro go to a dark library and Cecilia gets pregnant. Cecilia agreed to get married to Leandro for their child's sake. When Cecilia and Leandro got married, she thought her life couldn't get any better. Until she finds out that her mom has stomach cancer. Dolores eventually dies holding her newborn granddaughter, Corrine in her arms.

Many years pass and Cecilia (Vina Morales) does everything she can for her family; her husband, Leandro (Christian Vasquez), and her children Corrine (Jane Oineza) and Bea (Loisa Andalio). But all that's about to change when Leandro has a new assistant at work, Toni Briones (Denise Laurel). Toni eventually falls in love with Leandro and seduces him in her car, when eventually, she gets pregnant and Leandro loses his job. Cecilia finds out what Leandro had done from Toni's father, Florencio (Ronaldo Valdez), who is the owner of Briones and Company. Cecilia tells Leandro to leave and be with Toni, and her daughters become heartbroken when they see their father leaving them. Since that very moment, Corrine and Bea try to patch the broken pieces of their family up together.

A few years pass, Corrine attends Universidad de Monteagudo for college and meets Ryan Briones (Jerome Ponce). They eventually fall in love and will have a child of their own. However, when Cecilla reconciles with her childhood friend, Carlo (Richard Yap), the complication with her husband gets more intense. But Leandro still fights for her and not give up on their marriage. Because the unconditional love of Leandro for Cecilia is still continuing, Leandro and Carlo had eventually face each other and the friendship didn't seem to be working.

In the end, when Carlo search for himself and life, he goes back to his wife and decides to live with her and his children. Meanwhile, Corrine labored her baby with Ryan. Although premature, they still loved the baby and accept him. Corrine and Cecilia find peace as well and she welcome the baby to the family as well.
