Nawayug Shrestha (born 26 January 1990) is a Nepalese footballer Nepal Army Club. He was born in Magalbarey,Illam. He went to Bhanubhakta school. One interesting thing is that before going to the school, the principal had to make sure that enough footballs were in the school.

International career

Nawayug Shrestha debuted his first game against Sri lanka in 2016 SAFF championship held in India. Nawayug is a talented footballer of Nepal. He scored 3 hat-trick in a month during January to February 2016. He scored his first international hat-trick against Maldives during the semi final of Bangabandhu Gold Cup which was held in Bangladesh. He got his second hat-trick against Maldives and during SAG 2016. He summed up his hat-rick tally to 3 against Bhutan in the same tournament. he also scored the winning goal against India in the finals. Also he has been playing for Nepal Army Club, the domestic football club of Nepal.
