Plot

The movie Nayak..The Real Hero, is a story about a simple boy named Joy (Prosenjit Chatterjee), who wants to be a police inspector as his father Janardan babu (Rajjak) dreams so. Janardan babu is an honest police constable. The story takes a new turn when he tries to stop the local anti-social Kali gunda (Ashish Vidyarthi). His father accuses him to be a criminal and expels him from his residence. His brother-in- law Brindaban (Rajatava Dutta) also tries to create some misunderstanding within the family . Nandini (Swastika Mukhopadhyay) gives him shelter and this creates a misunderstanding between Joy and his love interest Anjali (Sayantani Ghosh). In the course of the movie Kali gunda kills Nandini. This solves the misunderstanding between Anjali and Joy. To take his revenge Kali gunda kidnaps Joy's youngest sister on her wedding day. Joy's father takes him to Kali gunda to free his daughter. At that point in time the appointment letter comes appointing Joy as a police inspector. Joy ultimately becomes a police inspector and kills Kali gunda. And thus the movie ends with the marriage of his youngest sister. At the marriage ceremony Joy and Anjali's love story also receives a happy ending.
