Nenad Peruničić (Cyrillic: Ненад Перуничић; 1 May 1971 in Pljevlja, Montenegro) is a world best, legendary Serbian retired handball player and a handball manager of Serbian Handball Superleague giant RK Red Star Belgrade. He is generally considered to be one of the greatest handball players of all time.
Career
Nenad Peruničić began at RK Jugović. He received his first professional contract with RK Red Star Belgrade. 1993 moved to PSG Handball, but a year later to Spanish Liga ASOBAL club Irún Bidasoa. Here in 1995 he succeeded his international breakthrough, winning the EHF Champions League and was voted the best player in the Liga ASOBAL. Here he also got his nickname "El Conquistador" ("The Conqueror") and "Terminator" by the Serbian TV reporter Srđan Knežević. He also won the Basques still the Copa del Rey 1996 and the EHF Cup Winner's Cup 1997. Then it pulled the 2.03 meter left back in the German Bundesliga for THW Kiel and in 1998, 1999 and 2000 league and cup as well as the 1998 EHF Cup won. Nenad Peruničić has 141 caps for the Serbian-Montenegrin and Yugoslav national team contested. At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, he was fourth with Serbia-Montenegro.
