Neos S.p.A. is an Italian leisure airline with its headquarters in Somma Lombardo[4] and main base at Milan-Malpensa Airport.[5]

History

Neos was established in June 2001 as a joint venture between two tourism companies, the Italian Alpitour S.p.A. and the German TUI Group. Revenue flights were launched on 8 March 2002.[6] In January 2004 however, TUI sold its entire shares to Alpitour.[7] Neos used to be part of TUI Airlines until then and today has no affiliation to the TUI Group anymore. As of March 2007, the company had 330 employees.[5]
