New Heliopolis City (Arabic: هليوبوليس الجديدة) is a suburb in north eastern Cairo Governorate, Egypt, which was established under Heliopolis Presidential Decree No.193 of 1995 and it belongs to the Heliopolis Company for Housing and Development.[1]

Planning

The area of the city 5,888 acres (2,383 ha) and is characterized by outstanding city planning and divided the city into residential areas(Buildings-Vilas), and area of educational and recreational, commercial and administrative, medical, clubs and open areas and green areas, and areas of golf. The city has a distinctive architectural character and coordinate the development of civilization and the specific rules for the construction of Heliopolis Company for Housing and Development to be a contemporary extension of the Heliopolis district. The company is directed to investing the entertained area in the entrance of the city at Cairo – Suez desert road with surface of 212 feddans to be used in the tourist and entertained activity.

Location

The city limits of Cairo-Ismaillia north and by Cairo – Suez and Madinaty south and, El Shorouk city is located along its west side and Badr City on the east side, the city site is characterized by close proximity to the regional and New ring road which will link the city with new cities, Helwan, 6th of October and a road Katameya Ain Soukhna. The location of the city located just 15 minutes from the ring road and 25 minutes from the districts Heliopolis and Nasr City.[2]

Climate

Köppen-Geiger climate classification system classifies its climate as hot desert (BWh),[3] as the rest of Egypt.

Facilities

Is currently developing the first phase of the Cairo-Suez and Cairo-Ismaili,which is up to the city will also link the city ring road and regionally as well as with the new subway line which will connect the city and central regions of the country and the governorates of Cairo and Giza.

All the main facilities (electricity - water – sewage – telephones) completed in full.
