New South Wales Hillclimb Championship

The CAMS NSW Hillclimb Championship is a "Speed Hillclimb" Championship run in the state of New South Wales (NSW) Australia & boasts a diverse array of Racecars & Drivers..

The Championship consists of a number of Hillclimb rounds held by CAMS affiliated "Host Clubs". Outright & Class Champions are named at the end of each Season & are presented with trophies. The current Championship holder is Tim Edmondson driving a Force PC

Championship history

The Championship in its current form has been running since 1959. From 1949-1958 the Championship was run as a single event much the same way the current Australian Hillclimb Championship is run.

Notable competitors include Ron Tauranac (1954 Champion), Lex Davison (1957 Champion), Colin Bond (1965-67 Champion), Peter Gumley (12 Time Champion), Peter Finlay (3 Time Champion), Allan Grice & Malcolm Oastler.

The NSW Hillclimb Advisory Panel

The Championship is run & organised by The "NSW Hillclimb Advisory Panel" (HCAP)which is separate to the Championship . The “Panel” is a Racing Organisation board which reports to CAMS NSW and CAMS nationally. Its function includes:
