Nicholas Latifi (born 29 June 1995) is a Canadian racing driver.
Career
Karting
He began his karting career in 2009 and competed until 2012.
Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge
He competed in the 2012 Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge for Rehagen Racing driving a Ford Mustang GT.[1]
Toyota Racing Series
He signed with Giles Motorsport team to compete in the 2013 Toyota Racing Series.[2] He finished ninth overall.
Formula 3
He started his F3 career by competing in the Italian Formula Three in 2012 with BVM.[3] He won his first F3 race in Vallelunga Circuit on 16 September 2012. He finished seventh in the final standings.[4]
In 2013, he raced in several series including Masters of Formula 3, British Formula 3 Championship, and FIA European Formula Three Championship, all with Carlin Motorsport.[5][6][7] He finished seventh in the 2013 Masters of Formula 3 race.[8] On 25 July 2013, he claimed his first poles in his racing career in Spa.[9]
Formula Renault 3.5
After running in selected rounds of the Formula Renault 3.5 series in 2014 for Tech 1 Racing, Latifi joined Arden International to race in the championship in 2015.[10]
Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain
Latifi made an appearance in the Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain in 2014, driving for Redline Racing at Rockingham Motor Speedway and scoring a fourth-place finish in the second of two rounds there.[11][12]
Formula One
On 14 March 2016, Renault announced Latifi as their new test driver for the 2016 season.[13]
