Nikita Sharma is an Indian television actress and model from New Delhi, best known for playing the female lead role of Antara Kaul in the television series, Do Dil Ek Jaan on Life OK.[2]

Early life

Nikita Sharma was born and brought up in New Delhi. Her father is a builder. After finishing her education in St. Xavier's School and Delhi University,[3] Nikita assisted her father in his business. She also handled her own bakeries in New Delhi.[4]

Career

Nikita Sharma won the Miss Air Hostess Academy title in 2008.[5] In 2012, she participated in the Indian Princess beauty pageant, which she won.[6] She was the cover girl of the July–August 2012 issue of the Enlighten India magazine.[7] Nikita Sharma moved to Mumbai to pursue her acting and modeling dreams. She appeared in various commercials for brands like Coca Cola, Invertis University, Giovani, TVS Scooty, Lays etc. Nikita has done several photo shoots and walked the ramp for various brands.[8] Nikita also appeared in a music video Teri Yaad by Shahjeet Bal.[9] She started her TV career with Channel V’s V The Serial, in which she was paired opposite Karan Kundra. Soon after, Nikita Sharma landed her first lead role in Life OK’s Do Dil Ek Jaan. She played the role of Antara, a Kashmiri girl who falls in love with Raghu, a Mumbai gangster played by Ayaz Ahmed.[10][11] After Do Dil Ek Jaan, Nikita was seen in single episodes of Channel V's Confessions of an Indian Teenager, UTV Bindass' Yeh Hai Aashiqui,[12] MTV Webbed 2 and UTV Bindass' Halla Bol.[13][14]
