Nusrat Imrose Tisha (Bengali: নুসরাত ইমরোজ তিশা) is a Bangladeshi actress and model. She has acted in television serials and films. Her recent film Television gained critical acclaim worldwide.[2][3][4]
Early life
Tisha was born to Enamul Hoque and Shaheen Mahfuja Hoque. She started learning music at the age of five. In 1993, she took second place in Bangladesh Television's Noturn Kuri talent hunt program. In the same contest two years later, she won the gold cup award.[5][6]
Career
Tisha started her acting career through the drama Shat Prohorer Kabbo directed by Ahsan Habib and written by Anonto Heera.[5] Tisha also formed a band named Angel Four. Tisha first modelled for Meril Lipjel. She has also participated in advertisements for Coca-Cola, City cell, Bombay Sweets and Keya Cosmetics, and won the Meril Prothom Alo Awards for modelling in 2003 and 2004.[5] After a six-year break, Tisha returned to TV advertising in 2014 by appearing in an ad for Square.[7]
Personal life
Tisha and director Mostofa Sarwar Farooki were married on 16 July 2010.[8][9]
Tisha was appointed the first "Goodwill Ambassador of South Korea in Bangladesh" for two years as part of the celebration of 40th anniversary of the two countries bilateral relations in 2013.[10][11]
