Oakes Fegley is an American child actor, best known for his supporting role as Paul Swann in the film Fort Bliss and for playing young Elias "Eli" Thompson in the series Boardwalk Empire. His starring-role debut in a feature film will be the titular role of Pete in Disney's film Pete's Dragon.

Career

In 2014, Fegley made his acting debut with the drama film Fort Bliss, playing Paul Swann along with Michelle Monaghan and Ron Livingston.[1][2][3] The film was directed by Claudia Myers, and had premiered in 2014.[2][3] He played the Young Judd Altman, originally played by Jason Bateman, in the comedy-drama film This Is Where I Leave You, directed by Shawn Levy and released on September 19, 2014 by Warner Bros. Pictures.[1][4] Later he appeared as Young Elias "Eli" Thompson in the fifth season of the HBO's series Boardwalk Empire.[1] He also appeared in the CBS' Person of Interest as Gabriel Hayward.[5]

Fegley has played the titular role of Pete in the Walt Disney Pictures' fantasy comedy-drama film Pete's Dragon along with Oona Laurence and Bryce Dallas Howard.[1] The film is directed by David Lowery and scheduled to be released on August 12, 2016.[6]
