OneNeck IT Solutions is a hybrid IT solutions provider for mid-market and enterprise companies. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Telephone and Data Systems, Inc. [NYSE: TDS], a Fortune 1000 company. The company employs about 630 people.
OneNeck is headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona and operates nine data centers in Arizona Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota, Oregon, and Wisconsin. The company also has a partnership in a data center in New Jersey.
History
Originally known as OneNeck IT Services it was founded in 1997 by a group of individuals led by Chuck Vermillion. The name “OneNeck” was selected to convey the company’s philosophy of total solutions with accountability.[1]
In 2004, OneNeck IT Services launched Oracle ERP outsourcing services and Microsoft Dynamics AX hosted managed services.
During its history, OneNeck IT Services completed three acquisitions: In September 2003, it acquired the assets of Virtual ESI Corporation, a JD Edwards outsourcing and consulting business.[2] In February 2007, the company acquired Delinea Corporation, an information technology services company providing Oracle ERP outsourcing and utilities consulting services.[3] OneNeck also acquired the managed hosting division of Ensynch (now Insight Enterprises) in 2008.[4]
OneNeck IT Services received a $12.8 million equity investment in June 2005[5] led by WestView Capital Partners, a Boston-based private equity firm targeting lower middle market companies.[6]
In 2008, OneNeck launched its cloud computing services business.
In June 2011, OneNeck IT Services was acquired by Telephone and Data Systems, Inc. [NYSE: TDS], a Fortune 500® company. Founded in 1969 and headquartered in Chicago, TDS provides wireless, local and long-distance telephone and Internet services to approximately seven million customers in 36 states through TDS Telecommunications Corp. and U.S. Cellular® [NYSE: USM], its majority owned wireless subsidiary.[7]
After completion of the acquisition, OneNeck IT Services operated within the TDS Hosted & Managed Services (TDS HMS) division of TDS Telecommunications. OneNeck worked closely with the sister companies of TDS HMS — TEAM Technologies and VISI, acquired by Telephone and Data Systems in December and March 2010, respectively. VISI operated two data centers in Minnesota and TEAM operated three data centers - two in Iowa and one in Wisconsin. OneNeck IT Services also operated two data centers in Arizona and collocated space in New Jersey.
On Jan. 6, 2014, it was announced that OneNeck IT Services Corporation, VISI Incorporated, TEAM Technologies, LLC, Vital Support Systems L.L.C., and MSN Communications, Inc. would begin operating as OneNeck IT Solutions LLC. [8]
Products and Services
OneNeck currently provides hosted application management, managed hosting, infrastructure services and hybrid IT cloud services and has divided those offerings into five segments:
- Hosted Application Management — OneNeck manages customers' Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and related software, as well as enterprise-wide applications including e-mail, collaboration, reporting and business intelligence systems. OneNeck supports a variety of ERP systems including SAP, Oracle, Baan, JD Edwards and Microsoft Dynamics AX.
- Cloud Services — As Internet-based computing, Cloud computing provides shared resources, software and information to end user computers and other devices on-demand. Businesses can access technologies they need, when they need them, at the scale they require. OneNeck offers their cloud services under the brand name, ReliaCloud®
- Managed Hosting — OneNeck manages and hosts customers' IT platform or components in its data centers. The customer uses either OneNeck equipment or its company-owned equipment. Additional services include back-ups, VPN, WAN connectivity, ASP software licensing and NAS/SAN storage.
- Infrastructure Services — After analyzing a company's IT infrastructure, OneNeck provides a risk assessment of business-critical environments. Infrastructure services are designed to protect customer data, networks and systems.
- Additional Services — OneNeck also provides Tier 1 Application Support, Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Administration, Virtual Desktop Interface (VDI) Support, Desktop Support and 24/7 Support Center.

OneNeck has successfully completed the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) 16 (SOC 1) Type 2 examination
The company adheres to ITIL® (the Information Technology Infrastructure Library) practices. ITIL represents the most widely accepted approach to IT service management.
