History
- June 10, 1946 - Open as JGR Kasuga Signal Box.
- October 1, 1961 - Started Passenger Service and renamed to Shirakibaru Station (白木原駅 Shirakibaru-eki).
- April 1, 1987 - Railways privatize and this station is inherited by JR Kyushu.
- March 11, 1989 - This station is renamed to present name.
