Osmaniye is a town in Alpu district of Eskişehir Province, Turkey. At 39°51′N 30°55′E / 39.850°N 30.917°E / 39.850; 30.917 it is situated in the plains of Central Anatolia. Distance to Alpu is 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) and to Eskişehir is 36 kilometres (22 mi). The population of Osmaniye was 1102.[1] The settlement was fouınded by Pomak people from Lovech and Plovdiv (now in Bulgaria) after the Russo-Turkish War (1877-1878). In 1992, Osmaniye was declared a seat of township .[2]
