Outside: From the Redwoods is the second live album released by soft rock singer Kenny Loggins. Released in 1993, it is the recording of a 1992 Loggins' concert held "outside" from a venue located within a stand of giant redwood trees. It features reworked versions of many of Loggins' songs, both from his solo work and his work in Loggins and Messina. Michael McDonald gives a guest performance on a reworked version of the classic they co-wrote, "What a Fool Believes", and R&B singer Shanice gives guest performances on "I Would Do Anything" and "Love Will Follow".[2]
Background
Outside: From the Redwoods was the second live album for Kenny Loggins. The concert was also video-taped at the Shakespeare Santa Cruz Stanley-Sinsheimer Festival Glen in June 1993, and includes some songs that do not appear on the album (such as "Forever"). Broadcast on PBS, the videotaped version of the production was nominated for an Emmy in the Best Mixing category for 1994.[3]
