Ovolo Hotels is an independent hotel brand and serviced apartment owner-operator[1] headquartered in Hong Kong, China. The Group began as a sole upscale serviced apartment in 2002 and has since grown to five hotels and one serviced apartment in Hong Kong, two hotels in Sydney, Australia, and one hotel in Melbourne, Australia, with more on the way. Founded by Girish Jhunjhnuwala,[2] Ovolo Hotels remains a privately family owned business under the Hind Group.[3]
History
Ovolo Hotels started as a serviced-apartment company. Girish Jhunjhnuwala acquired a single office complex in the heart of Hong Kong’s Central Business District and developed it into an upscale serviced apartment.
After the opening of its first serviced apartment in 2002, the group has expanded and now owns 5 hotels in Hong Kong and 4 hotels in Australia. It also owns 1 serviced apartment in Hong Kong.
