PIQ is French based company specialized in software and services for sensors. PIQ operates a platform and multi sport connected sensors. PIQ wearable is manufactured by Foxconn.[1] PIQ was founded in 2016[2] by Cedric Mangaud[3] and Ongan Mordeniz. PIQ is player in the connected sport industry.[4] PIQ designs, manufactures and commercializes PIQ a smart multi-sport sensor.[5] This sensor measures movement, digitizes performance and sets challenges.[6]
PIQ multisport sensor
PIQ[7] is a small, ultra-lightweight, waterproof and flexible multi-sport motion sensor connected via Bluetooth low energy to a dedicated mobile application (iOS and Android). PIQ integrates sensors, NFC, BLE and micro processing technology,[8] PIQ multisport sensor incorporates 13 axis[9] and accurately measures performance metrics such as velocity, height, air time, G force, amplitude, trajectory and others.[10] It has been designed to be positioned in the right place on the body for data collection depending on the sport.[11]
Sports
- GOLF : In november 2015 PIQ announces a partnership with the leading golf application Mobitee[12] for connected golf[13]
- TENNIS : In september 2015 in collaboration with Babolat,[14] PIQ announced the wearable sensor and platform, with the world’s first connected wristband[15][16] for connected tennis.[17]
- SKI : In March 2016, PIQ announces the availability of its multi sport sensor for Ski[18] in partnership with Rossignol.[19]
