Pakistan football league system

The Pakistan football league system consists of 4 interconnected leagues for football clubs in Pakistan. The system has a hierarchical format with promotion and relegation between leagues.

Pakistan Premier League

The PPL is composed of 16 clubs. Each season, the bottom two clubs are relegated and are replaced by the top two clubs from the PFFL.

Pakistan Football Federation League

The PFFL is composed of 12 clubs. Each season, the top two clubs are promoted to the PPL while the bottom two clubs are relegated and are replaced by the top two clubs from the National Club Championship.

National Club Championship

The National Club Championship is composed of 8 clubs. Each season, the top two clubs are promoted to the PFFL while the bottom two clubs are relegated and are replaced by the top two clubs from the D Division.

D Division

The league is made up of teams who have been selected from the 8 provincial D Divisions. Each season, the top two clubs are promoted to the National Club Championship while the remaining clubs play in the D Division.
