Pascual Liner, Inc. (abbreviated as PLI) is a city operation transport company headquartered in Quirino Highway, Gulod, Novaliches, Quezon City, servicing in Metro Manila. It plies routes from Alabang, Muntinlupa City to Novaliches, Quezon City.

Etymology

The bus company is derived from the founders of the company – the Pascual clan – who managed the business until the present time.

History

Established as a family-owned bus company in 1978 and managed business has grown from a 29-seater Buses (which were previously used for provincial operation to Central Luzon (except Bulacan). It was originally known as Pascual Vilfran, or Pasvil for short, and Vilfran Liner Inc. (now VIL 5000 and Fran Vill Transit, Incorporated [FVTI]), which was believed that the Villegas clan has also its partnership with the Pascual clan in the earlier times.[1]

In the latter part of '80's, Pasvil were separated and operated later as Pascual Liner Inc., which services Alabang-Novaliches route, while Vilfran Liner (now VIL 5000 and Fran Vill Transit, Incorporated [FVTI]) services Baclaran-Novaliches route, for some unknown reasons.

Pascual liner Inc. continued its operation for EDSA line. In 2008 they operated a sister company known as RPBP Transport which also plied the same route but was mothballed in 2009 when the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (Philippines) reviewed that the said bus company has no legal papers and or/franchise.

In 2011, when Jell Transport's franchise was terminated by the LTFRB around 2010, they decided to buy other franchise, and PLI was chosen to continue their business with the new colors with previous livery design for their new units.

Recently, HM Transport Inc. bought a franchise for route expansion using the same route, which uses air-conditioned buses, and used PLI as their brand name but operated under their sister company, Worthy Transport Inc.

Fleet

Pascual Liner Inc. utilizes and maintains Hino, Jinbei, Isuzu and King Long units with roughly a total of over 50 buses, both air-conditioned and ordinary buses.
