Pasumarru is one of the villages in Chilakaluripet mandal of Guntur District in Andhra Pradesh, India.[1] Pasumarru is around 3 km distance from Chilakaluripet and 42 km distance from district headquarters Guntur, 76.4 km from the state Capital City Vijayawada.
History
The village was formerly known as "Pasuvula Marri" and eventually acquired the current official name of "Pasumarru". Some people still call it as "Pasumarthi" also.
Geography
Pasumarru is located next to Chilakaluripet and towards Chirala. Surrounding villages are Annambotlavaripalem in the (East), Boppudi in the (West), Gudevaripalem in the (South) and MaddiNagar/Chilakaluripet in (North) of the village.
Assembly constituency
It is the second biggest Panchayath in Chilakaluripet mandal after Ganapavaram village. The population is around 12,000.
It will come under Chilakaluripet municipality which is just 3 km from Pasumarru.
