Paul Reissmann (17 January 1920 – 8 November 1944) was an Oberscharführer in the Waffen SS during World War II, who was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross, which was awarded to recognize extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership by Nazi Germany during World War II.
Biography
Oberscharführer Paul Reissmann was the commander of the 4th Squadron, 17th SS Cavalry Regiment, 22nd Volunteer cavalry Division Maria Theresia. He was killed in action on the 8 November 1944 and awarded a posthumous Knight's Cross on the 16 November 1944.[1][2]
