Paul Sprachman (born 26 May, 1947) is a professor emeritus who taught at Rutgers University in the United States (Assistant Professor (NTT), Persian). He lives at the Hudson Valley. Sprachman has translated a number of Persian books into English, such as Gharbzadegi (Plagued by the West), A City Under Siege: Tales of the Iran-Iraq War, One Woman's War: Da (Mother), Tehran: Revolution Street and Chess with the Doomsday Machine.[1][2]

He earned his PhD degree from Chicago University in 1981.[3]
