Nor Astghaberd (Armenian: Նոր Աստղաբերդ; formerly, Payahan (Armenian: Փայահան), also Romanized as P’ayahan and Payagan, and Bakavank) is a community and village in the Syunik Province of Armenia.
The community of Nor Astghaberd consists of the villages of Nor Astghaberd, Ajabaj, Getishen (formerly, Chaykend), and Vocheti (formerly, Hajatin). The community's population was 93 as of 2010,[2] down from 179 at the 2001 census.[3] The village of Nor Astghaberd's population was 57 at the 2011 census,[4] up from 53 at the 2001 census.[3]
