Pečenice (Hungarian: Hontbesenyőd) is a village and municipality in the Levice District in the Nitra Region of Slovakia.

History

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1135. In the deep forest near from the village, is situated fortility from Roman's age /"Spečený val"- cemented or sintered fortility-wall/ created like draw the line of Roman's empire. Time genesis unknown

Geography

The village lies at an altitude of 273 metres and covers an area of 7.917 km2 (3 sq mi). It has a population of about 126 people.

Ethnicity

The village is approximately 99% Slovak.

Facilities

The village has a public library and football pitch.
