Pehčevo Municipality (Macedonian: Општина Пехчево [ˈpɛxtʃɛvɔ]) is a municipality in eastern part of Republic of Macedonia. Pehčevo is also the name of the town where the municipal seat is found. This municipality is part of the Eastern Statistical Region.
Basic information
Pehčevo Municipality is located in the easternmost part of the Republic of Macedonia between 41°06' and 41°53' latitude and 22°37' and 23°12' longitude. It is bordered to the east by the city of Sandanski in Bulgaria, to south by the Municipality of Berovo, to the west by the Municipality of Vinica and to the north by the Municipality of Delčevo.
The municipality has a moderate continental climate with modification of the climate in the higher mountain and lowland parts. The relief is mainly hilly-mountainous, with lowland terrains.

Rural development
In relation of Rural Development, Municipality of Pehčevo has a prepared Sub-strategy for Rural Development as a part of the general Strategy for Local Economic development of Municipality of Pehčevo. The sub-strategy for rural development was prepared according to EU LEADER + Programme (bottom-up approach) by Local Group for Rural Development. The Local Group for Rural Development was supported by MAASP and Municipality of Pehčevo.
Rural Information Centre - RIC
Main goals of RIC
Rural Information Centre is opened by MAASP in partnership with Municipality of Pehčevo. Main goals of the RIC are:

- Improvement of the economical competitiveness, diversity and adjustment of small rural communities

MAASP - Macedonian Agriculture Advisory Support Programme
Vision
An inclusive society, with all rural residents enabled to take advantage of the opportunities of EU integration for more dynamic and market oriented agriculture and rural development.
Objectives
The overall objective for Phase Two is to work on a national basis to support the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy in Macedonia develop a pluralistic agricultural advisory system as a tool for implementing Macedonian agricultural policy during the process of accession to the European Union. Within specific geographical domains, improve the conditions for the rural poor people in Macedonia, to reduce their poverty by enhancing the quality, relevance and accessibility of agricultural advisory services.
This will be realised through pursuance of three sub-objectives:
- Consolidation of advisory service reform on a national level
- Selected value chains strengthened through increased market orientation in
advisory services
- Awareness and capacities increased for poverty alleviation through advisory
services for diversified rural development
