Penrith railway station' is located on the Main Western line, serving the Sydney suburb of Penrith. It is served by Sydney Trains T1 Western Line services and NSW TrainLink Blue Mountains Line, Central West XPT and Outback Xplorer services.
History
Penrith station opened on 19 January 1863 as the terminus of the Main Western line when it was extended from St Marys.[1][2] The line was extended to Springwood on 11 July 1867.
