This is a list of the main career statistics of professional Czech tennis player Petra Kvitová.[1] To date, Kvitová has won seventeen career singles titles including two Grand Slam singles titles, one year-ending championship and five Premier Mandatory/Premier 5 singles titles. She was also a quarterfinalist at the 2012 London Olympics.
Career achievements
In January 2009, Kvitová won her first WTA title at the 2009 Moorilla Hobart International, defeating Iveta Benešová in the final. Later that year, she recorded her first win over a reigning world No. 1 by defeating Dinara Safina in the third round of the US Open. At the 2010 Wimbledon Championships, Kvitová reached her first Grand Slam semi-final, defeating Caroline Wozniacki and Victoria Azarenka en route before losing to the eventual champion and world No. 1, Serena Williams.

Kvitová's breakthrough season in 2011 began with a title in Brisbane and her first quarterfinal appearance at the Australian Open, where she lost in straight sets to then world No. 2, Vera Zvonareva. In February, she won her maiden Premier-level title at the Open GDF Suez, prevailing over Kim Clijsters in the final. In May, Kvitová won her first Premier Mandatory title at the Mutua Madrid Open, defeating Victoria Azarenka in the final. As a result, she cracked the top ten of the WTA rankings for the first time in her career, rising to world No. 10. In July, Kvitová won her first Grand Slam singles title at the Wimbledon Championships, defeating former World No. 1 and 2004 Wimbledon champion, Maria Sharapova in the final. She also won the Generali Ladies Linz in October. Kvitová's strong results throughout the year allowed her to qualify for the year-ending WTA Tour Championships for the first time in her career. She won all of her three round robin matches in straight sets, defeating world No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki, Vera Zvonareva and Agnieszka Radwańska to reach the semi-finals where she recovered from a set down to defeat Samantha Stosur. In the final, Kvitová defeated world No. 4 Victoria Azarenka in three sets to win her sixth title of the year and her first year-ending championship on debut, thus becoming the third player to achieve this feat. She finished the year ranked at a career high of world No. 2.

The following year, Kvitová reached the semi-finals of the Australian Open and French Open for the first time in her career but lost on both occasions to Sharapova. Partnering Tomáš Berdych, they won the Hopman Cup, giving the Czech Republic its second Hopman Cup title. She also reached the last eight at the 2012 London Olympics and was later crowned the US Open Series champion after winning titles in Montreal and New Haven. Kvitová ended 2012 at world No. 8. Highlights of Kvitová's 2013 season included winning titles in Dubai and Tokyo along with quarterfinal and semi-final appearances at the Wimbledon Championships and WTA Tour Championships respectively. She finished her third consecutive season in the top ten as world No. 6.
In 2014, Kvitová won her second Grand Slam singles title at the Wimbledon Championships, defeating Eugenie Bouchard in the final. The week before the US Open, Kvitová won the Connecticut Open in her third consecutive final at the event. She also won the inaugural edition of the Wuhan Open. She ended 2014 as the world No. 4. Kvitová's 2015 season was highlighted by reaching the final at the WTA Finals and her first ever quarterfinal appearance at the US Open. She also won Sydney and captured her second title in Madrid, registering her first win over Serena Williams en route. She successfully defended her Connecticut Open title, her 17th and most recent title and it also marked the first time she successfully defended a title. Kvitová concluded 2015 as world No. 6.
