Plain-an-Gwarry (Cornish: Plen an Gwari) is a hamlet in the west of Redruth, Cornwall, England, UK.[1] It is entirely surrounded by the town of Redruth, but part of it only for Council Tax purposes, as it does not have its own council. The name derives from Cornish plen an gwari (meaning "playing place"), an open air performance area used historically for entertainment and instruction.
