Planetarian: Hoshi no Hito (planetarian~星の人~ Planetarian: Star Person) is an upcoming 2016 Japanese post-apocalyptic anime film directed by Naokatsu Tsuda. It will premiere in Japanese theaters on September 3, 2016. The film is an adaptation of the "Hoshi no Hito" short story from the Planetarian: The Reverie of a Little Planet light novel written by Yūichi Suzumoto and illustrated by Eeji Komatsu.
Production
The film is directed by Naokatsu Tsuda and animated by David Production. The screenplay is written by Tsuda and Shogo Yasukawa. Hitomi Takechi based the character design used in the film on Eeji Komatsu's original designs. The music in the film is composed by Magome Togoshi, Shinji Orito, Donmaru and Tomohiro Takeshita. Sound and music direction is headed by Tsuda and Takayuki Yamaguchi. Katsuichi Nakayama and Shunsuke Machitani are the series directors. The film theme song is "Hoshi no Fune" (星の舟) by Lia.[1]
