Plati, Messenia
Plati (Greek: Πλάτη, before 1956: Καναλουπού - Kanaloupou[1]) is a village in the municipal unit of Filiatra, Messenia, Greece. It is situated at the western foot of the Kyparissia Mountains, at 300 m elevation. It is 2 km southwest of Perdikoneri, 7 km east of Filiatra and 9 km south of Kyparissia. Its population, according to the 2001 census, is 174 people. The village is mainly surrounded by farmlands.

History
According to the Venetian census of 1690, it had a population of 127 people. Springs supplying water to Filiatra emanate from Plati, where three watermills were located.
