Plevna, Missouri

Plevna is an unincorporated community in southeastern Knox County, Missouri, United States. It is located about eighteen miles southeast of Edina on Route 15. According to author and name historian Robert Ramsay, the community was probably founded and named by John "Plevna" Naylor in 1877, and is named after Plevna, Bulgaria,[1][2] site of a Russian victory at the Siege of Plevna during the Russo-Turkish War.
